Repair Questions

What is Paintless Dent Repair (PDR)?     A process where dents are removed by specialized tools without affecting the original painted surface.

How is PDR performed?     Typically dents are fixed by using metal rods to push gently on the bottom of the dent until it is raised flat and even with the rest of the surface.

How long do repairs take?     For smaller amounts of dents, usually less than a day. For cars with hail damage, usually less than a week.

Why not use conventional repair methods?     PDR is usually a quicker repair process and doesn't affect your factory finish. Without large amounts of supplies we are more eco friendly than conventional repairs, and repairs are done by one person from start to finish. Conventional repair methods require sanding your vehicle, filling dents with a hardening putty, and repainting your vehicle. This involves multiple people and lengthens the repair process.

Is PDR always better?     No, in some cases damage can exceed what can be repaired by PDR or conventional body filler methods, and it is better to replace those panels. However, PDR should be a top priority for repairs when possible.

How big of a dent can you fix?     This is dependent on many factors. When it comes to hail damage, most dents up to "half dollar" can be repaired easily. Larger dents can be fixed, but must be evaluated on a per dent basis.

Can I DIY my dent repair?     Although DIY repair kits are widely available, we suggest not doing so. PDR is a highly skilled trade learned through many hours of hands on training and oversight. In some cases you can do more harm to the vehicle and make the repair more expensive by doing it yourself. If you still think you can do it on your own, we recommend doing lots of research and practicing on a salvaged part that cannot be used for anything else.

Insurance Questions

Is my car damaged enough to file a claim?    The best way to answer this is for us to see your car in person. Usually IT IS worth filing a claim, unless you have a high deductible. You pay into insurance for them to help you out in these situations, you might as well use them.

Will filing a claim raise my rates?     Not directly. Insurance will raise rates in the entire effected area to recover claims paid out, whether you file a claim or not.

How do I know if my estimate from insurance is correct?     Insurance companies are not repair experts. They sometimes look at your damage in unfavorable conditions. It is best to let the repair facility look at your vehicle for an accurate repair estimate.

Do I have a choice where I take my vehicle?     YES! It is illegal for insurance companies to tell you where to repair your vehicle. No matter who gives you your estimate, you can always take it to the repair facility of your choice!

Do you work with my insurance company?     YES! We work with all insurance providers.
